This session has been a long time coming! As a photographer, I have a few “dream” locations. For the past several years, a Capitol building has been on that list!
Not one specific Capitol (Harrisburg is what gave me inspiration!), but this one fell into place when I was visiting friends in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Those friends being Jacob + Reece, pictured below! These photos are from December 2020 at a Christmas tree farm in Holtwood, PA. It’s been 4.5 years and I still love these photos!!!!
They moved to Utah a few years ago, and eventually Jacob’s brother, Justin, and his girlfriend, Kylie, moved into the same apartment building! So I met Justin + Kylie on a Wednesday, then took their photos Thursday night! (Thankfully the Capitol building was close by!)
Justin + Kylie were so giggly, which always makes my job easy!!!
The one con of this location: I was NOT the only photographer. There were at least 3 others! So working around/editing out the photographers & models was a challenge, but it all worked out beautifully! You’d see these photos and think we had the place to ourselves!
And of course there was a slight drizzle towards the end, but again, we made it work!
As with all my couple sessions, I grab just a few individual photos! Justin knew he’d be applying to jobs soon, so getting headshots was important. Sure enough, his LinkedIn photo is one I took! 🙂 It’s an honor!
