Rachael has always loved kids and began babysitting at just 11 years old. Fast forward to January 2021, Rachael opened her nanny referral agency, Keystone Nannies in Lancaster, PA.
Her job is to match families with nannies, household managers, Newborn Care Specialists, and more. Rachael helps with background checks, advertising, interviews, contracts, etc. She’s there each step of the way!
One of my clients, Pam, kindly referred me to Rachael because she was in need of updated headshots for an article! The session went great, Rachael made one photo her new profile picture on Facebook (one of the biggest compliments for photographers!), and that was it, right?
Several weeks later, Rachael reaches out again for additional photos to use in the article! Specifically, photos of a family she found a nanny for.
I was happy to help of course, but the funniest part of everything is the nanny that she placed had been MY nanny! It’s always a small world, especially in Lancaster County. 🙂
The photos went smoothly and we wrapped up at a nearby shopping center to grab a few photos of Rachael and another nanny she helped place!
Needless to say, I’m always happy to do custom packages!
Unfortunately, the magazine that was going to publish the article no longer exists, so we never got to see the final product. The least I can do is create this blog post featuring the photos and highlighting Keystone Nannies!
Fun fact: after high school, Rachael attended a 3-month nanny training program at Penn State and received a certification as a nanny. Rachael adds, “Penn State no longer has the program, but people who remember it still recognize it for its excellence.”
As you can imagine, Rachael was a nanny herself for quite some time, then along came COVID. She began consulting with other nannies who were navigating the changing landscape as parents lost their jobs, began working from home, etc. “I became a national nanny expert, helping nannies across the country, and when that happened, a friend said, ‘It’s time to start your own agency.'”
So in January 2021, Rachael officially debuted Keystone Nannies!
